Requesting info on a DuMont model 2100 10Mhz dual trace oscilloscope?
I recently picked up a DuMont model 2100 10Mhz dual trace oscilloscope from a ham radio fest. I cannot find any information about this piece of equipment. I'm specifically looking for a manual, but any info would be greatly appreciated.

I assume this is a vacuum-tube oscilloscope -- all scopes from the 1950's to early 1970's were. These scopes are pretty easy to troubleshoot, once you have the pinouts for all of the vacuum tubes used (hopefully the number hasn't been wiped off of the tube, or is stamped on the chassis next to the socket). You don't really need a schematic.
The tubes will be grouped into 3 function-blocks:
(a)Horizontal sweep with trigger inputs, and with output driving the CRT Horizontal deflection plates;
(b)Vertical amplifiers, with voltage inputs; followed by a switcher and output driving the CRT Vertical deflection plates;
(c)High-voltage supply, to accelerate the electron beam, and a "focus" potentiometer to control the voltage to the "focus" deflection plates in the CRT.
Of course, you'll need to borrow another scope to signal-trace (observing the signal on the control-grid and plate of each vacuum tube). If you have an INTERMITTENT signal, the best trouble-shooting technique is just to gently tap each component (using a screwdriver handle), to find the cold-solder joint.
The schematics of the simple (non-tektronix) scopes from this era, are all pretty similar. A schematic of an old Eico or Heathkit -- or even Hewlett-Packard -- scope from the 1960's would give you a pretty good idea.
However, if the CRT gets old and dim, it will be a challenge to find a working replacement!
