Crt Dual Channel
At what price should I sell this PC.?

I am about to sell a PC having the following configuration :-

1.Asrock 775i65GV motherboard.
2.Sparkle Nvidia 6200 256 MB (AGP8X) card
3.1 GB DDR 400 MHz Ram (512MB x 2 Dual Channel)
4.Intel Pentium D 805 2.66GHz Dual Core Processor
5.15 inch CRT monitor
6.Frontech Xilo Cabinet with 450 Watt Power Supply
7.I-ball keyboard and mouse(combo)
8.CD-RW Drive
9.Windows XP SP 2 installed+Microsoft Office 2007

This PC is about 1 year 8 months old and I want to sell it. What is the ideal price for selling this PC.

do yourself a favor and look around the internet for similarly configured systems and see what they sell for with the following caveats:

- In general, a "used" whatever is worth about ½ of what you paid for it, assuming it is in at least good condition.

-Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

-Most people want to "buy cheap and sell dear".

-If you advertise the machine for sale it definitely depends on how you market it. Don't make the mistake of saying that you paid "$X.XX" for it cuz most people with ignore that cuz they know you are selling "outdated equipment" and want as much as you can get for it.

-Make sure that if you do find a buyer that you have ALL the original documentation and software on CD's. An informed buyer that can build their own machine will balk at a machine purchased off the shelf cuz they know its limits.

-Just like any other negotiation, price it a little higher than what you actually want for it. Any smart negotiator will know that you are going to do that and expect you to drop the price.

-The wording in your sales pitch is Critical to its Sale. Have an advertised use for it and tell potential buyers how it will fit their needs easily. Lol, the more thinking you do for them the less they have to think and/or question what you say. It's called Marketing.

-Just like an ebay auction, after you do your price research figure out what the minimum is that you will take for the system.

-Watch out for those that will nickel and dime you to death over trivial things. You and i know that those people do exist.

- One thing I would question have built numerous systems is a 15" inch CRT no matter what you paid for it. People will devalue your system just because of that.

-You also left out the specs on the hard drive. That information is important too.

-People that are into watching and recording movies will fault your system cuz it does not come with a dvd burner. I know, they are cheap, but some will use any reason they can to pay less than what something is worth.

-Cover all your bases and be able to tell them about upgrading for the points they deem weak in your system. That includes pricing, and don't be afraid to offer to install certain things for free to accomodate them.

Start at about half of what you paid for it, plus or minus a reasonable amount.
