5.1 channel out in DZ270 from external source?
I own a sony DAV-DZ270 home theater system. now i am planning to buy a blue-ray player and would like to connect the digital sound output via the home theater system. the problem is that the HTS do not have OPTICAL IN and dont know if I can actually get the real 5.1 out from the HTS or not. Has anyone solved this problem or is there a way to get it?
The only way to solve this problem is to stop buying crappy home theater system products. Home theater systems, as you are starting to find out, are very limited in inputs. It's a marketing scheme to get uninformed buyers to buy a new system every couple of years. Now you have to buy a home theater system with a Blu Ray player built in.
Or you could spend a little more and get yourself a quality component system that will last you for years and give you much better sound.
